Valcambi’s state-of-the-art refining facilities deliver the highest purity precious metals recovered from a wide range of feed materials, from primary doré supplied by mining companies to industrial scraps and recycled jewellery as well as precious metals invested and owned by financial and governmental institutions.

Our Clients benefit from Valcambi's experienced and highly qualified staff who apply the most suitable and up-to-date refining techniques and practices to recover gold, silver, platinum and palladium to the highest purity levels. Valcambi’s refining operations have an annual capacity in excess of 1200 tons for gold and 400 tons for silver.

Our processes enable us to refine gold up to a fineness of 999.99 parts per thousand, silver up to 999.90 parts per thousand and platinum and palladium to over 999.50 parts per thousand.

After the homogenization process, any NGD material destined for refining is assessed to determine, between the following, the fastest and most effective combination of refining techniques:

  • Moebius electrolytic silver refining
  • Wet chemical platinum and palladium refining
